By Robert Johnson, DO
Working on impairments is important and necessary, but by itself is insufficient for sustained growth and sobriety. To sustain one’s initial passion for recovery, individuals need to uncover a clear and compelling sense of purpose, and discover the blessing of a new, vital assignment for their lives. They also need the ability to grapple with what their life's larger calling is at each subsequent stage of their lives. In this course, participants will explore how strategies from the coaching adult developmental model can be used to work creatively in the “gap” between the patient’s current state and their desired state. This presentation by Robert Johnson, DO is an intermediate course intended for practicing clinicians.
